‎FORMER ABIA DEPUTY GOVERNOR UDE OKO COMMENDS ENGR. OBINNA ODUM’S LEADERSHIP AT GODA ‎

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, has joined other notable Abia personalities in commending the Director General of the Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA), Elder Engr. Obinna Odum, for his remarkable performance across the five local governments of Abia North

‎Rt. Hon. Oko Chukwu gave the commendation on Wednesday, February 4, 2027, during a courtesy visit to Engr. Odum at his country home in Asaga, Ohafia. He lauded the focused, pragmatic, and results-oriented leadership of GODA under Odum, describing it as impactful and people-driven.

‎In his remarks, Sir Ude also extensively applauded Gov. Otti led administration for its attention to critical infrastructure, citing the ongoing rehabilitation of the Abiriba–Nkporo Road as a clear demonstration of responsive and purposeful governance, executed through GODA.

‎“I have come to congratulate you on your appointment as Director General of GODA and to commend you for the good work you are doing. The projects ongoing across Abia North, especially the Nkporo Road rehabilitation, are visible and commendable,” he said.

‎Rt. Hon. Oko Chukwu further observed that within a relatively short period, the present administration has delivered tangible dividends of democracy to the people, setting a new benchmark for governance in Abia State.

‎Responding, Engr. Obinna Odum expressed profound appreciation to Rt. Hon. Oko Chukwu for the visit and his words of encouragement. He also welcomed the former deputy governor’s decision to support Otti’s administration from the inside, by joining the labour party, describing it as a significant boost to the collective effort to reposition Abia State.

‎Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to the re-election of Governor Alex Otti in 2027, as well as to the sustained political and socio-economic development of Abia North and Abia State at large.
