A Courtroom or a Temple? Otti’s Bold Vision for Abia’s Judiciary
Governor Alex C. Otti, OFR, has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to justice, equity, and institutional excellence with the commissioning of a newly constructed court building in Umuene, Isiala Ngwa South LGA.

Describing the judiciary as “a bulwark against tyranny” and “the temple of truth and conscience,” the Governor declared that Abia’s judicial officers would never again operate from structures below their standing.

The event marks the first in a series of court commissions across the 17 LGAs — modern facilities equipped with independent power supply, IT tools, and water systems. Governor Otti also unveiled plans for ultra-modern judicial complexes in Aba and Umuahia, featuring 15 standard courtrooms, registrars’ offices, and 1,000-seat multi-purpose halls.

“This is not just about buildings,” he emphasized. “It’s about deepening justice, strengthening freedom, and securing the moral foundations of our State.”
