MESSAGE OF HOPE FROM ABIA’S FIRST LADY YOU CAN’T IGNORE

The wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, has called on Nigerians, especially women, to make regular breast screening a lifestyle habit for early detection and prevention of breast cancer.

Speaking during the 2025 World Breast Cancer Awareness Week in Umuahia, themed “Celebrating Strength in Every Unique Story,” Mrs. Otti, represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Adaeze Chidera Emetu, emphasized the importance of celebrating survivors, supporting fighters, and remembering those who lost the battle.

She assured of her commitment to supporting those living with cancer, while health experts urged women to seek medical help at the first sign of unusual breast changes and adopt healthy lifestyles.
